If you're an individual: with a single license you may install Alerter on all of your own personal computers.

If you're a business: you must purchase a license for each computer or virtual machine you wish to install Alerter on.
Your license includes free updates for the life of the product. There's no subscription fees or renewal fees. Alerter is a fairly simple application with a specific purpose. As such, the costs to maintain it are relatively low. It's easier for us and for you to offer it as a one-time purchase.

Licenses are tied to you or your company and cannot be transferred.
